Items accepted in your recycling container:

Aluminum, steel, & bi-metallic cans
Clear, brown, green glass
#1 & #2 plastic bottles & jugs

Some haulers will also accept newspaper. The haulers are required to pick up recyclables twice a month. Please contact your hauler for their pick-up schedule.

OVERFLOW OF RECYCLABLES:

There may be times when you collect more recyclables than your container will hold between collections. What should you do with your overflow?

North Lebanon Township allows residents to have two containers for their home. You may pick up a second container at the Township Office during office hours or use your own container for the overflow. Clear plastic bags can also be used to temporarily house your recyclables. Whatever you use, please make sure it is clearly visible or marked that the items are to be recycled so that your hauler is not confused and throws them in with the regular trash.
