537 PLAN (PA Sewage Facilities Act)/On-lot Sewage Management

This act requires all municipalities to develop and maintain an up-to-date planning document to protect the public and the water supply. As part of the compliance with this Act, an On-lot management Program is now in place. This program is to insure that the on-lot sewage systems are maintained property and malfunctions do not occur. Homeowners will be expected to have their tank pumped and inspected every 3 years, and provide an inspection report. This program is being implemented by the Lebanon County Planning Department and any questions should be directed to them at 274-2801.
